Abstract

This study examines the role of human capital development and workforce skills in enhancing logistics productivity within the China–Kazakhstan cooperation framework over the period 2015–2024. Using secondary time series data, the study analyses the effects of training expenditure, skill attainment, and labour market engagement on logistics sector output. Multiple regression analysis reveals that human capital investment (β = 0.46, p < 0.01) and the Skill Index (β = 0.41, p < 0.05) are the strongest positive determinants of logistics productivity, followed by workforce participation (β = 0.33, p < 0.01) and wage growth (β = 0.29, p < 0.01). The model accounts for 84% of the variation in logistics output (adjusted R² = 0.84).
